For five days we sail between the islands of Guna Yala, one of the last autonomous indigenous territories in the Americas. This is not an offshore passage or a performance sailing trip. The itinerary was built with local Guna guides and has no fixed schedule.

A robust long-distance cruiser with two double berths and two sofa beds in the main cabin, equipped for weeks at sea.
Life aboard is simple. There is no air conditioning, nights can be warm and humid, and freshwater and electricity are limited. In return you get remote anchorages, experienced guides and a living culture.
Expedition leader, certified captain and anthropologist. Tomás holds a PhD in anthropology focused on ethical tourism and environmental philosophy, and has guided in southern Patagonia, the High Arctic and across the Atlantic. He is a former first-aid instructor, has lived aboard Falkor for five years, and has been based in Panama since May 2026.

For curious, open-minded travellers who value depth over comfort. No sailing experience is required. It is probably not for you if you need a fixed plan. Departures leave Panama City on Monday morning and return Saturday, December to April. All rates in USD.
